The Craft Tech: Hybrid Frameworks for Smart Photonic Materials is a collaborative research project by Institute of Textiles and Clothing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Royal College of Art.
The exhibition is at the Hong Kong Museum of Medical Sciences from 6th to 11th March 2018.
Dr. Jeanne Tan was invited as one of the guest speakers by Royal College of Art to give a lecture of interactive textiles and the relationship between craft and technology with regard to wearable technology.

Dr. Jeanne Tan’s work “Current” is exhibiting in the juried international exhibition – FIBER ART VIII International Biennial Fiber Arts, held by Sebastopol Centre for the Arts in collaboration with Surface Design Association in the USA. Jurors: Eszter Bornemisza Hungary, Wendy Lugg Australia, and Jason Pollen USA.
Dr. Jeanne Tan was invited by the Asia Society of Basic Design and Art to be showcased as one of their highlighted design practitioners. The exhibition was referred by the members of the Asia Society of Basic Design and Art and comprises of academics, design practitioners and researchers.
Current, Drift, and Flux were exhibited at the Asia Culture Centre, Gwangju, Korea and a gallery talk entitled Interactive Textiles: Crafting with Technology were presented.

Scion, which won Grand Prix of Božena Augustínová 2015 at TEXTILE ART OF TODAY 2015, will be showcased in another exhibition “TEXTILE ART OF TODAY 2015 – 2017” in Tatra Gallery in Poprad. The exhibition runs from 02.12. until 04.10.2016 held under the patronage of the Minister of Culture of Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary
